Who receives us when we arrive and when we leave?

Of course! You will be welcomed and assisted by Caroline, the owner of the château, who will be available throughout your stay. She will be happy to assist and advise you in organising your event, supported by a team of professionals.

How to access the Domaine de La Rousserie and get around once there?

Access via the A10 motorway towards Paris, exit 40B St André de Cubzac
Rent a car at Bordeaux Mérignac airport or St Jean train station. Find all our partner service providers in the City Guide provided when you book.

How many people can the domaine accommodate?
We have an authorization for 150 people, even if the privatized place is 320 m².
How many beds do you offer?

 From 2027 onwards, we will have accommodation for 23 guests: 1 suite for the bride and groom in the château, 10 beds in the La Petit Rousserie gîte and 10 in the new gîte. There will be 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in total.

Do you have a dance floor?

Yes.

What is the reception setup like?
Standing or sitting, the place can be adapted according to your desires.
Can the place be rented several times in the same day?
No. You have the exclusivity of the premises and you privatize the area for the entire weekend from Friday 8 a.m. to Sunday 6 p.m.
How long is the rental for weddings?

You privatize the area from Friday 10 a.m. to Sunday 6 p.m.

Does the place have a plan B?
Yes, you have 2 reception rooms when privatizing: the large Harvesters’ room for dinner and the Hunters’ room in case of rain for the secular ceremony, cocktail or reception.
Do you accept the rental of a tent or marquee?
Yes, as long as we stay within the 150 guests maximum.
Do you have a catering service or a private kitchen?
No, we only take care of rentals. We are available to direct you to providers that we recommend without imposing
Do you require a caterer or other service providers?
We work with a list of service providers that we will communicate to you.
Do you charge a corkage fee?
As the property does not make wine, we do not apply a corkage fee.
Is there a time limit to respect for the event?
Yes, the time limit for stopping music is 4:00 a.m.

What are the payment terms?

A deposit of 50% is required upon signing the contract. The balance is due 1 months before the event. We accept payment by check, transfer or cash.

Are the places suitable for people with disabilities?
The 2 reception rooms and toilets are accessible and adapted for disabled people.
Is the pool heated and secure?
No, it is not heated. It is secured by a fence meeting NFP90-306 standards.

The swimming pool is open from May to September. Open for brunches on Sundays only.
Are castle linen and end-of-stay cleaning included in the price?

Yes.

Where to park safely at the castle?

In our car park with 50 spaces + 2 disabled spaces in the immediate vicinity of the estate. A safety officer will be on duty during the evening.

Do you have an equipped kitchen?

Yes, no cooking in the catering area. We have 2 other equipped kitchens, one in the gîte, another in the castle for small seminars.

Do you own lingerie?
Yes, containing a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.
Do you have a table for dining for a large group?

Yes, for large groups, we have 98 varnished wooden Napoleon chairs, 100 white plastic Napoleon chairs, 7 round tables for 8 people, 10 rectangular catering tables, 3 large wooden tables, 6 standing tables (barrels), lantern-style decorations and 9 candlesticks. We have equipped the harvesters’ room with a permanent starry sky and 7 outdoor posts for guinguette-style lamps.

Can we use the castle fireplaces?
No, this is strictly prohibited.
What is the estate’s heating system?

City gas boiler in the castle.
Fuel heating in the cellar.
Electric heating and wood stove at the gîte.

Rent a vehicle at Bordeaux Mérignac airport or St Jean train station. Find all our partner service providers in the City Guide provided when you book.
